Professor Doug McGetchin is Associate Director of the 太阳城娱乐 PJHR Initiative. He is a professor in the 太阳城娱乐 Department of History where his research and teaching on topics relating to peace span world history, modern Germany, modern Europe, and ancient and modern South Asia. He received a Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego, specializing in cultural, political, and intellectual connections between Germany and India. He was director of the 太阳城娱乐 Peace Studies program 2012-13 before going to Kolkata (Calcutta), India on a Nehru-Fulbright grant for 2013-14.
