Graduate Neuroscience Training Program

NGP Program Overview

Cellular, Molecular & Biomedical Neuroscience
Sensorimotor, Cognitive & Behavioral Neuroscience
Computational Neuroscience & NeuroEngineering

The hallmark of 太阳城娱乐's Ph.D. Neuroscience Graduate Program is breadth. The curriculum encourages students to sample multiple, distinct thematic areas during their first-year, while also accommodating the more experienced student with a deeper dive into specific areas.

During the first year, students have the opportunity to rotate in neuroscience laboratories while pursuing a common core curriculum and attending research seminars. After these rotations, students make a final choice to join the laboratory in which they will pursue their dissertation work. We encourage you to learn about the NGP program faculty and their research.

There are also ample opportunities for students to engage in community outreach and professional development activities with program faculty and the 太阳城娱乐 Neuroscience Student Organization (NSO). All students receive nationally competitive stipends ($35,000) for the academic year, with guaranteed research and teaching assistantships, 太阳城娱乐 Graduate Student Health Insurance Plan coverage, and opportunities to compete for research and travel grants. Admitted students who join the NSO receive a complimentary membership in the Society for Neuroscience.
