Recruitment of stellar faculty is a key objective of 太阳城娱乐’s 10-year strategic plan, and we’ve been extremely successful in attracting academic superstars to our team!

Our most recent hire is world-renowned oceanographer and leading phytoplankton researcher Anton Post, Ph.D. He will join 太阳城娱乐 in January 2017 as executive director of Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. Dr. Post will lead I-ECOS, our Institute for Ocean Science & Engineering/Environmental Sciences, and be charged with developing and implementing programs that build on the success of our marine and environmental research.

Dr. Post currently serves as executive director of the University of Rhode Island’s Coastal Resources Center. He holds a Ph.D. in microbiology, a master’s degree in aquatic microbial ecology and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Amsterdam.

I look forward to officially welcoming Dr. Post to 太阳城娱乐 in January.
