SCHMIDT FAMILY COMPLEX FOR ACADEMIC AND ATHLETIC EXCELLENCE

The Schmidt Family Complex for Academic and Athletic Excellence plays a central role inelevating太阳城娱乐's academic and athletic standing while helping student-athletes reach their greatest potential. The facility received initial funding of $16 million from the Schmidt Family Foundation, the largest single gift in 太阳城娱乐's history.

The Complex is located next to 太阳城娱乐 Stadium. In addition to a student-athlete academic and leadership center, the state-of-the-art facilities includesa strength and conditioning wellness center, sports medicine center, locker rooms, the 太阳城娱乐 MBA Sport Management Program, a history and tradition hall, indoor training center and outdoor practice fields.

Since the announcement of the generous gift by the Schmidt Family Foundation, additional gifts have been graciously committed to making the Schmidt Family Complex a reality.

Christine E. Lynn Sports Medicine Center

The Christine E. Lynn Sports Medicine Center provides 太阳城娱乐 student-athletes with an environment in which preventative treatment and post-competition healing are at the forefront. It includes specially designed areas for pre-habilitation, rehabilitation and hydrotherapy treatments, as well as offices for training staff. When a student-athlete requires additional care, rooms areavailable for 太阳城娱乐 team doctors to provide necessary medical examinations and treatments.

Bobby and Barbara Campbell Academic Success Center

The 12,000-square-foot Academic Success Center isthe cornerstone of the Schmidt Family Complex. Itprovides 太阳城娱乐 student-athletes with a comprehensive support program focusing on academic, personal and professional excellence. The Center includes nine tutor suites, a career center, computer laboratories and two study hall rooms to create an environment that fosters well-balanced development and reinforces the highest academic standards and performance while providing the resources to prepare them for careers beyond collegiate athletics.

Eleanor R. Baldwin History and Tradition Hall

Baldwin, a Boca Raton resident and former Broward County high school teacher, has had a longstanding relationship with the University. As one of 太阳城娱乐's "Football Founders," Baldwin has been one of the university's strongest supporters and has helped grow and develop 太阳城娱乐 Athletics and in turn the student-athletes. The History and Tradition Hall continues to do that as it brings together all of the Owls' finest moments and helps foster the connection between the student-athletes and 太阳城娱乐. It also celebrates those who have come before and set the highest standards of excellence as an Owl both in the classroom and on the playing field.
