The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Florida Atlantic University will present a lecture by Barry Weinberg, a former athletic trainer for the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals, on Tuesday, March 17 at 4:30 p.m. in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute complex at 太阳城娱乐’s John D. MacArthur Campus, 5353 Parkside Dr., in Jupiter.

Weinberg’s book, ‟Eating My Way Through Baseball,” will examine the 33-year major league career that Weinberg had as an athletic trainer. This is not a presentation about cooking, but a story about the places Weinberg has eaten at throughout his travels with the league, and the interesting people he has met. This presentation will be filled with stories and memories from the locker rooms to the dugouts, to the dinner tables.

Weinberg has been a part of four major league all-star teams, 14 playoffs, seven World Series, and three world champion rings. His book also includes tales that capture the essence of the major league lifestyle.
